Common Topics

Do I need an account to use Wamū?
No. Wamū is local-first — entries and budgeting data are stored on your device and the app works offline. Optional private iCloud sync is off by default and opt-in per device.
How do I delete my data?
You can edit or delete entries in-app at any time, and affected totals update accordingly. To wipe everything, go to Profile → Reset Data, which permanently deletes categories, transactions, and budgets on the device (currency preference is kept).
How do I back up or export my journal?
A native backup export is available in the app's More tab. You can also enable optional private iCloud sync to mirror your data across your own Apple devices.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
No subscription is offered in the current release — Wamū is free during this initial phase. If a paid plan is offered in a future release, you will be able to manage or cancel it in iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions; for billing help or refund requests, contact Apple Support.
Is my data sent to an AI service?
No. Parsing runs on-device, and the app does not automatically send your financial data to an external AI service.
